What you will be doing:

Planning:

Client campaigns
• Ensure all account teams have account plans in place and that they update the plans regularly.
• Review the plans and alert executives when they are out of date or incomplete.
• Offer potential solutions to keep the plans on track to avoid delivery delays.
• Provide oversight to ensure all clients receive end-of-month reports.
• Review and track campaign reports for clients.

Agency planning
• Work directly with executives to develop annual business plans, and quarterly profit, hiring, biz dev, and operational goals for the agency
• Liaise with President and Managing Director to identify challenges to agency growth and operations – then develop solutions.

Advertising:

• Media buying
• Serve as a subject matter expert
• Serve as lead negotiator when necessary for media buying.
• As traffic manager, ensure account teams upload and submit assets for advertising purposes appropriately and on spec.
• Ensure that all account teams stay on schedule with their advertising plans.
• Monitor all active ad campaigns and provide recommendations to account teams on how to optimize results.

Digital:

Agency digital operations
• Serve as chief manager to the Agency’s google domain accounts, server accounts, LinkedIn page, Facebook ads manager account, and other similar/related platforms. Ensure security and optimal performance of all such properties and platforms.
• Serve as chief manager to any social accounts the Agency may create for itself in the future.

Client digital properties
• Keep a master inventory of all digital properties for which 617MediaGroup is or should be responsible according to contract scopes.

Marketing materials:

• Maintain the Agency website, 617MediaGroup.com, including posting new staff names, photos, and bios when appropriate
• Ensure the Agency always has up-to-date marketing collateral files
• By coordinating with in-person staff, maintain an accurate inventory sheet of all marketing swag and tchotchkes
• Actively pitch new ideas to executives for other kinds of marketing materials and advertising opportunities that would be helpful to the growth and mission of the Agency
• Collecting positive client testimonials – quotes with headshots / videos
• Write and distribute press releases about new hires to trade publications, hometown papers, alumni publications.

A/V Intern – Waltham, MA

617MediaGroup, the Northeast’s fastest-growing progressive communications agency, is looking for a videography intern to join our growing team. This position will start on September 9th, 2019. Our internship program provides up-and-coming videographers with the opportunity to get significant production and post-production experience while learning from professionals and making an impact for the public good.

This is a part-time, paid internship for the fall semester with potential for staff promotion thereafter. Interns must be able to complete a minimum of 15 hours each week. Occasional night and weekend availability is necessary. A car is preferred; not required.

Responsibilities:

• Document major social movements, labor rallies, marches, and heart-warming moments in people’s lives, including video and audio
• Provide videography and photography services at client events
• Edit high-quality videos for client review in a quick and efficient manner

Qualifications:

• A degree (or earning a degree) in videography, journalism, communication, or other related fields
• Experience filming public events and editing footage to create a polished, finished product
• Proficiency working with standard videography and photography equipment
• Flexible schedule with the ability to occasionally work nights and weekends as needed for client events

• Developing a system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining accounting policies and procedures.
• Developing strategies to accomplish the long-term financial goals of the agency.

• Preparing financial reports, including weekly and monthly reports, by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Managing day-to-day accounting activities of the firm, including payroll, revenue recognition, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processing; including invoicing, credit card processing, and deposits
• Analyzing market trends and the company’s financial information to find opportunities for expansion or ways to reduce costs.
• Reaching out to appropriate internal departments as needed.

Your experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
• At least 1-3 years of professional experience in a similar finance or accounting role.
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects at once.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and Excel are a must. Experience with ADP is preferred.
