As an Account Director with 617MediaGroup, Joshua develops key press, digital, print, and multimedia campaigns to promote the work of the firm’s union and social justice clients.

Josh joined 617MediaGroup from the Office of Massachusetts State Senator Sonia Chang-Díaz, where he served as Communications Director. In this role, he pioneered a multi-year communications strategy that led to passage of the landmark $1.5 billion Education Equity Law, following years of inaction. He also oversaw all press relations, messaging, speechwriting, and multimedia digital content across legislative priorities including criminal justice reform, immigration, and police reform.

Prior to his work in Senator Chang-Díaz’s office, Josh worked for three years with the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, focusing on rapid-response video production, press, and digital organizing. He also jumpstarted the national Open Hillel movement in 2013 and produced an award-winning web series on progressive organizing.

Josh graduated from Swarthmore College, where he studied Political Science and Religion.
