Candice Cole brings more than a decade of journalism, multimedia, and public sector strategic communications experience to her Senior Advisor role at 617MediaGroup. She also currently serves as a Senior White House Producer for BNC.
Candice previously served as the Communications Director for the City of Jackson, Mississippi. In that role, she instituted a range of citywide communication and social media initiatives to promote public health, public education, economic opportunity, and social justice for the city’s 164,000 residents. She also served as the city’s chief spokesperson, and was responsible for hiring and supervising all communication staff citywide.
Prior to serving the City of Jackson, Candice enjoyed a long journalism career, working as a reporter at CBS and ABC affiliates, and a producer for BBC World Service. She was also a professor of media studies at her alma mater of Bowie State University, where she taught courses in the Communications Department.
Candice holds a Master of Art in Television Journalism from the University of London and a bachelor’s in Communication-Broadcast Journalism from Bowie State University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and was part of the Alpha Chi Honors Society.
