Creative/Digital Director

Who you are:

• A triple threat with strong creative, writing, and management skills.
• You have the ability to create, write, and execute on social media calendars across multiple platforms (including Facebook, Google Ads, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat, and more) in support of a variety of exciting social justice campaigns.
• You have 5-10 years of digital advocacy, content creation and strategy experience in labor, media, advocacy, organizing, or politics and you’re eager to make a difference for the public good.
• You are a master user of key Adobe Suite programs including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• A leader who can provide aesthetic oversight, creative inspiration, and detailed art direction to a design team on a variety of materials while ensuring the highest standards of excellence in design and the agency-wide application of the best practices across accounts.
• Art direction responsibilities will include overseeing the creation of dynamic, elegantly designed, and impactful logos, brochures, websites, flyers, magazines, newsletters, political campaign materials, signage, social media mastheads, memes, infographics, and more. You understand how to achieve balance in design and how to mentor others in pursuit of it.
• A big-picture strategist who is equally comfortable leading a team, interacting with clients, and rolling up your sleeves and executing.
• A team player who is able incorporate feedback from all team members to find the most effective, high quality, impactful solutions.
• An organizer and campaigner with a proven ability to develop and win progressive political and/or social justice campaigns.
• You can conceive and implement concepts, guidelines and strategies in various creative projects and oversee them to completion.

• You ideally have experience directing, story boarding, shooting and editing photo and video content (Pr, Lr, Br and Cannon DSLR).
• You have a strong understanding of brand development and multichannel marketing concepts.
• You are comfortable creating and launching WordPress websites and develop sharp, creative online content.

Office and Sales Assistant

617MediaGroup, New England’s fastest growing progressive communications firm, is looking for an Office and Sales Assistant to join our growing team. This full-time position is based at our Waltham, MA headquarters.

Responsibilities will include: 

• Uploading new business leads to Hubspot
• Sending follow up emails to new business leads
• Writing and sending out contracts to prospective clients
• Writing and posting job descriptions to the website
• Screening potential new candidates
• Scheduling interviews with job candidates
• Reception duties including answering calls and welcoming office visitors
• Basic office assistant functions including meeting prep, office organization, catering orders, and preparing presentations for clients and account teams
• Other duties as determined by agency leadership

Qualifications:

• Strong writing skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• HubSpot Sales Software certification
• HubSpot Sales Inbound certification
• Adobe Suite experience preferred
• Strong commitment to social justice
• Experience in public relations, advertising, marketing, or journalism fields is a plus
